
Superclass:
The pinnacle of the sport. Boats generally cost in the range of $150,000 – $300,000, have a horsepower range of 1200-1600 and will tow two skiers well in excess of 120mph (193kph).
Unlimited: The stepping stone to Superclass with many of the top line Unlimited crews being considered genuine outright contenders. Has been consistently one of the largest and most competitive classes.
MOC:
Mono Open Cockpit. Single rig outboard class with almost unlimited motor modifications allowed. Boats range from $40,000-$80,000 and can reach speeds in excess of 90mph (144kph)
SMOC:
Standard Mono Open Cockpit. Single engine outboard class with no motor modifications. Without a doubt the most competitive class in the event. This class has a history of being decided by a matter of seconds.
70mph:
Speed restricted class to 70mph. The next step up for those that started in 60mph. Has the benefit of a reduced membership fee to introduce new competitors to the sport.
60mph:
Entry level class with discounted membership fee. This proves to be a safe and cost effective method to start in the sport. Extremely competitive class and one of the more popular classes since it’s inception. Boats generally vary from $10,000 to $40,000.

The following age divisions are available to nuture the talented youth in thief progression through the sport:

- Under 19 girls
- Under 16 boys
- Under 16 girls
- Under 13 boys
- Under 13 girls
- Under 10 years
