Updated information for the 2011/12 Big River Ski Club Series is now online. Day one set down for 6/7 August will be held at the Big River Ski Lodge. Please note new entry fee structure being $85 per boat for one day or $150 per boat for both days.

2011/2012 Series Days set

At a recent meeting of the Big River Ski Club, the dates were set for the 2011/2012 series. Please go to the series page to seethe updated Calender.
Member of the committee are also in discussions with relevant authorities to look at the possibility of running an offshore event on the 11/12 December 2011. We shall beep you updated with our progress.

Gale Force wins 2011 Presidents Cup

Starter motor problems did not deter the pre-race favourites of Patty Slark, Jason Disson, Peter Harmer & Adam Smidt from taking out the 2011 Presidents Cup held on the mighty Clarence River on Sunday 15th May, 2011. After the starter motor failed in Master Stroke prior to the event commencing, the crew substitued boats to run Gale Force.

Blazen wins re-run in scorcher.

Hot weather and perfect conditions prevailed for the re-running of the Grafton Bridge to Bridge today. The crew of Blazen proved victorius in record time of 36 minutes & 50 seconds with Noel Griffen driving, Bernie Simpson observing with Grant Turner & Chris Stout doing the hard work out the back. The teams of Top Gun & Strike Force filled the minor placings.

$2100 RAISED FOR LOCAL JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT FUND

Zone 3 Ski Racing held an auction during the presentation of the 2009 Grafton Bridge to Bridge Ski Race.4 of the banners that were on display all weekend were put up for auction. The monies raised will be used to setup a junior development fund to try and assist local juniors within the sport. Zone 3 is also looking for founding partners for the junior development fund, for more information please contact mark@graftonb2b.org.au. A big thank you goes out to all those that put thier hand in thier pockets to support the acuction.
